Training for support agencies
Victim Assist runs regular professional development workshops online.
This is a great opportunity for new staff to learn about our services and for experienced staff to refresh their skills.
Workshops include practical information about:
- helping victims apply for financial assistance
- eligibility criteria
- types of financial assistance
- how to complete an application
- victims’ rights and agency obligations.
There is also time for questions—so you can get answers to all the questions you've been meaning to ask.
If interested, email VAQcommunications@justice.qld.gov.au and we will add you to our mailing list.
Custom training
In some instances, we may be able to develop and customise training specifically for your agency. Depending on the needs and location of the agency, this may be delivered online or in person.
For more information, email VAQcommunications@justice.qld.gov.au.
